Arguably, our halflighted minds that appears irrecoverable in shackles of desires, yet aborted from the attraction of divine attention has left us in complete state of doom, save the chosen and favourable servants of Allah. May Allah make us among them. Aameen.
With this I so badly accept, that we are indeed dead, gone and forgotten, though we may accept the illusion that we are alive. We lack sense of purpose; we so easily convince ourselves that we are here to worship Allah who created us, yet cannot clearly distinguish between our worship to the Lord and acting according to our whims.
Today, we mostly observe our five daily prayers not because Allah deserved to be praised, but more because of our unfulfilled aspirations. We fast simply because it's Ramadan, and after Ramadan, we forget the ever living and merciful Lord in acts of fasting. We marry because we have money or want to bear children. Sometimes, many marry due to peer pressure. So where's Allah in our dealings except in the words of mouth?
In all we do today, we appear so demanding of worldly glories from Allah than we aspire to die with Eemān. Though debatable, I see greater percentage of what we do today has little to no traces of sincerity in worship. And Allah knows best.
I therefore advise myself and you to keep Allah at heart through the medium of fear of Him in whatever we do. And there's no better way to fear Allah than to obey what He ask from us and distance from all He abhors.
