Archdruid Gaming: League of Legends' Club and More

Introduction

Hey guys, how's everyone doing? I hope the answer to that question is 'great.' My name's Ggt. I like to play video games, read about video games, watch videos about video games, and as of recently write about video games here too with all of you on Steemit. There's one game in particular I love playing and sharing stories about. That game's League of Legends and it's going to be the primary topic in today's short post. So keeping that in mind, what better way to get the ball rolling then to define League of Legends!

What is League of Legends?

That's a good question;

"League of Legends is a fast-paced, competitive online game that blends the speed and intensity of an RTS with RPG elements. Two teams of powerful champions, each with a unique design and playstyle, battle head-to-head across multiple battlefields and game modes." A quote taken directly from the League of Legends website, perfectly summing up the game for the rest of us. I couldn't have said it any better myself!

What this post is about!

Now that we got the game description out of the way, lets talk about what this post is all about; community. Over at Archdruid Gaming (I'll get into more depth about the community), the idea was brought up about making a League of Legends' club based around bringing League players from all over Steemit together to; play, interact and grow. This is where myself and today's post come in to help make that idea become a reality.

But before we go into anymore depth about the plans we have in store, lets checkout the Archdruid gaming community.

What is the Archdruid gaming community, what are we about?

The Archdruid gaming community is a sub-community of the curating community Curie (That's a lot of the word community). Following in Curie's footsteps, Archdruid and it's curators strive to find exceptional gaming content and it's creators, rewarding them in hopes of adding value to good gaming communities on the Steemit platform.

Archdruid also works towards encouraging supportive engagement within Steem gaming communities, which is exactly what this League of Legends' club is all about.

Joining the club and future events!

First lets go over how to join the club in three easy-to-follow steps:

• Start up your League of Legends' client on the NA (North American) server, login and send a friend request to the League of legends' summoner name "No Comparison".

• Upon having the friend request accepting, message "No Comparison" stating that you are from Steemit.

• From there you shall be added into the club where you can talk, play and hangout with all the other club members! Make sure you also join the Archdruid community Discord!

Starting this Friday we will be hosting a small get-together where community and club members come together to play some League of Legends. The event will also be streamed for anyone who wants to tune in and hangout, but for whatever reason can't play the game (Remember, League of Legends is free). A community tournament is currently in it's early stages of development and will be setup whenever the club grows into having enough members to support it.

In the nearby future there will also be League of Legends' related writing competitions held here on Steemit and hosted by Archdruid. Of course with most competitions there will be prizes, so either join the club and/or community Discord to stay tuned for more information.
