Malaysia's Southern gateway- Johor , is next to Singapore. Due to its geographical location, those Malaysian cars that you always see in Singapore start with plate number J (Johor Rep: @cherryng). And during the formation of Malaysia Federation , Johor royal insisted to have their own military force, so it's the only state in Malaysia having their own royal army. The chances to see ZJ is very rare (Z is specially reserved for army and J is for Johor).
大马南方大门户-柔佛州Johor, 毗邻新加坡。因地缘关系，在新加坡看到的大马汽车，多是来自柔佛【柔佛代表：@cherryng】。值得一提的是，当初成立联邦时，柔佛皇室坚持保留自己的皇家军队（御林军），是唯一拥有本身军队的州属，所以有看到ZJ 车牌的机会很少（Z牌军队专用，J 则是柔佛）。

历史古城马六甲车以M开头，M字与马来西亚Malaysia 同样，所以会有很多组织、政党都以M开头，好比马来西亚华人公会 MCA, 大马印度协会MIC, 该车牌系列竞标就会有很多该党党员投标。【马六甲代表：@superoo7】
Historical state Malacca, car plate starts with "M". As M is same for Malaysia, so it consists of many associations' short form, e.g. MCA- Malaysia Chinese Association, MIC -Malaysia Indian Congress. And when these special-meaning car plate series launched, many parties members would flock to bid the number (Malacca rep: @superoo7 )

雪兰莪与马六甲之间的森美兰州 Negeri Sembilan ，以N 为首，它是属于大马的九州。之前我看过一个视频，有人放NBA车牌的旧车子在街上经过，我看了感觉不怎么特别，存粹是一部车牌NBA的森美兰汽车咯。【森美兰代表：@itrmarcusliew】
Negeri Sembilan- state between Selangor and Malacca, its car plate starts with N. It's the kyushu (nine state) of Malaysia . Previously I saw a video clip that some foreigners felt excited to see car with plate number NBA roaming in town, while I felt nothing special about it as it belonged to Negeri Sembilan old car plate series. 森美兰夹在雪隆与历史古城马六甲之间，所以它的角色有点尴尬，但我觉得森美兰的马来文化在马来社群内其实是比较突出的，尤其是那里的米南加保Minangkebau文化的屋子，两端尖尖好像牛角的屋顶。而且那里的苏丹继承权有点特别（小学时候读过历史，有机会再分享）
Negeri Sembilan- I felt that their culture is among the more special among the Malay community, especially Minangkebau-style of rooftop house with both sharp edges-mimicking the buffalo's horn.

半岛北部广为观光客熟悉的槟城，车牌以P (Penang )开头。据悉在槟城街上，车主碰上外州到来的车子，会更加不客气、不让位。这个传言可能得让我们槟城代表@vamos-amigo 和 @kimzwarch证实一下，呵呵。
Nothern part of Peninsula, which is popular among tourist- Penang, starts with "P". I Heard that when other states-registered car roaming in Penang streets, the Penangites will not give way to them. Not sure how true is this rumour , maybe our Penang rep @vamos-amigo and @kimzwarch would clarify a bit ? hehe.
