Vytaut the Great
In the city of Grodno, the Republic of Belarus has two castles. They are called New and Old. The fact that the city of Grodno in the Middle Ages was the residence of the kings of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and then the Rech Pospolita. One of these kings was Vitovt the Great. Under his reign, the Old Castle on the Castle Hill was completely rebuilt. In memory of Vytautas between the castles stands a carved wooden sculpture of Vitovt.
В городе Гродно Республика Беларусь есть два замка. Носят они названия - Новый и Старый. Дело в том, что город Гродно в средние века был резиденцией королей Великого Княжества Литовского , а потом Речи Посполитой. Одним из этих королей был Витовт Великий. При его правлении был полностью перестроен Старый замок на Замковой горе. В память о Витовте между замками стоит вырезанная из дерева скульптура Витовта.
