A quick photo from our latest trip to Myanmar last December. Among many amazing experiences we encountered in this mysterious country was our visit to the temple city of Bagan. I must admit, as we first arrived I was a little disappointed, I mean, sure there was a few old temples and they looked historical, cool, antique and all but they were kinda small and the city was actually quite modern.
Shame on me though.. The moment we went up above the tree line the uniqueness and splendor of Bagan truly unfolded in front of us!
Driving around on our small electric scooter we managed to find a lot of beautiful temples and snap a tons of pictures. The temple here below was part of a cluster of 5 medium temples, hidden away in a small grove of trees and we had a great time exploring them all.

These temples are so cool and it's a true wonder how well preserved they are

More of Myanmar will come another day but until then I can only recommend everyone to visit and enjoy the friendliness and openness of the Myanmar people. Though, one word from me to all other travellers.. In Bagan it's allowed to climb all the temples that is not currently under renovation, but we saw a lot of tourists that treated these ancient temples like a children's playground with no respect what so ever. Make sure you are careful so that these constructions can last at least a few more decades..
