Chelpark #2

Sometimes I like the process involved in a painting or creating an artwork more than the the finished piece. Things like mixing colors, or letting the paint swirl around in the palette are a few things that I simply enjoy. So, it’s not always about the painting that makes me happy but these small yet satisfying acts in between.

Today I thought of just playing around with ink on one of my sketchbooks with no clear thought as such. So I actually eneded up trying some patterns, lines, washes and a few poses. Making gestural drawings or human figures in something I am not too confident in, but using a brush instead of a pencil made it quite fun and less stressing :D
