Rainbow Heart
Just a little studio update to share a picture I sketched and coloured last night.
It was completed while listening to a podcast and I find this to be a very relaxing way to listen and sketch... as they compliment each other perfectly.
My first step was to sketch out the heart shape using lead pencil.
Then I used a black liner to define the outline and erased the pencil lines.
Lastly, I used some fine liners to add details, then coloured the heart using Derwent coloured pencils, then I cut around the shape.

Yes, very therapeutic... I was a late bloomer as an artist but I persevere for this reason. Sometimes, it's all I can do to try and make sense of the madness around me and photography reminds me to take notice of all the beauty - and damn it, if I see a rose, I'm gonna stop and smell it too. lol
As they say "better late than never" , lolz. yeah you gotta dooz what you can to get by in this crazy ass backward world... any respite is greatly appreciated. We gotta remember that self care is important, taking the time to do what makes us happy is important :)
