It may be that on starry summer nights, the fireflies try to communicate with their distant relatives, the stars. Those long nocturnal conversations in morse code. But how sad it is when it clouds, lonely nights, without a light similar to yours in the distance.
The lights of the focus do not have life, those lights opaque to the stars. The firefly does not like light bulbs, that move away the stars.
But what beautiful, beautiful summer nights in the pond, in the countryside, far from the lights of the city.
