DIGITAL ART - How to draw a ring with a gem

In this video I'll show you an easy way to paint a 'bling bling' ring in Photoshop (or other digital painting software). The techniques also apply to other jewelry!

The polygonal lasso tool of Photoshop is a great help when painting gemstones. A painted gem wouldn't be realistic without sharp and clean edges, the polygonal lasso tool helps you paint these. When you make a selection in Photoshop and you start painting on a layer, you won't be able to paint outside the selection, perfect!
