Blockchain platform Maecenas is preparing a auction to sell the famous painting 14 Small Electric Chairs. The auction is on the 20th of June in Amsterdam.
Not the whole piece but 49% of it. In a press release, Maecenas reveal that up to 49% of ownership will be on this special offer. Owning such a portion means that the buyer will not have true autonomy over where the painting is located but will receive payment if the painting is ever sold again.
The estimated part is worth 732 Bitcoins. Thats € 4,8 million euro. ( also allowed are ether or ART tokens)
The painting off the famous Warhol is the “ piece the resistance “ off the first crypto currency art auction in the whole world.
