A Communication

Yesterday, I have broadcast this picture, and to date there are 17 Friends of MAPESA who have responded: like, super and sad.

Yes, if only I could give for this picture all responses at once, then I will do it, because everything is right and reasonable. "Likes", at least, because this tombstone has been discovered and documented. "Super", perhaps, because this is a picture of a special heirloom. And "sad" is certainly not willing to see the heirlooms of these memories lying and abandoned in such a way.

Seeing images like these, feelings can indeed be stirred, until it is sometimes difficult to determine which of those feelings is dominant. Even when the value of this treasure is higher in view, the more amazing the heart, the more "super", then in another corner of the heart, pain and soreness increasingly swelled because of its existence.

I am re-broadcasting this tombstone because of the admiration. An admiration that has long been a throne in the heart of the treasures of memories such as this. The reason for the admiration is not only because it is a trace left by the predecessors, not just because of the good expressions and all the values of the beauty it has, but also because there is a kind of warm, sometimes awful, communication there! However, before the wise Reader begins to suspect that something strange has happened to me, I must first state that the "communication" in question has nothing to do with it, from far or near, to things which is supernaturally related!

It's amazing how such tombstones build communication! Happy when the communication puts me in the position of pupils, students or even a child who is being trained and given the task of answering and deciphering something complicated. Therefore, like a student who is facing difficult test questions, I sometimes become panicky, upset, sweaty or even very rarely feel very hungry because of the energy that seemed to be drained away.

He, the owner of the face in question, is the artists of the glorious past of Aceh, who through a large number of "masterpieces" of their work, have taught aesthetic doctrines that are essential for the development of Islamic art. Even more than that, they are like the Sufis who guide the disciples into the streets of love through beauty. They realize that Love (Al-hubbul Ilahiy) is really the source and the pouring of all the beauty in a variety of artistic expression of a Mu'min, from where the beauty flows and that is where it empties.
The Ta'awwudz and Basmallah sentences sculpted on this tombstone - after praying for God's forgiveness and grace for the deceased whose grave is marked with it - is certainly not merely an Arabic calligraphy, but also a work of art that actually shows everything built on aesthetic principles in Islam, represents the spirit of Islam as well as conveying its messages.

Works such as this is certainly not produced by a copycat. This must be the original work of a creator who is always thirsty for new patterns of revelation for his ideas and feelings. The relief of the Ta'awwudz and Basmallah sentences on this tombstone explicitly expresses the high excitement in the discovery and discovery of new patterns of disclosure. The design of letters and patterns of connections, arrangements and ornaments in such expressions in turn, encourages a warm discussion with the creator, and at the same time a cross-age communication builds. From the communication it was then realized that the creator of this work is actually an artist, scientist and Sufi from the glorious past of Aceh. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant him with a great grace.
At the end, it is also worth noting here that creators at this stage are naturally present only in Islamic cultural centers, not in the "Islamic suburbs" as strange circulating labels or other labels that are true with him.
