I made a WW1 looking lamp out of an gas mask filter

in #art5 years ago

When I was visiting poland, I went into a antique shop.
In a corner of the shop was a box with a lot of small and cheap items in it, like mugs, toys, books, etc.
On of the items that caught my eye, was a green gas mask filter.
I love old unusual things, that normaly people would throw away and I immediately knew I had to buy it.
When I was at home, I had the idea to make a lamp out of it that I could place on my work desk.
So grabed a few metal parts I had laying around and made this lamp:

I think it has a WW1 kind of design, because of the colors, the gas mask part and the metal top I added which reminded me of a british WW1 helmet.

How do you like it?
I would love to hear some feedback! <3
