Art Talk: Why Can't Artists be More Vulnerable With Each Other?

in #art6 years ago

If you identify as an artist, it's likely you face similar issues to someone else who identifies as an artist. Art is just one of those things that makes you feel stuff, and sometimes it's hard to get through those hardships without talking to someone else who's going through or went through the same situation.

Whether it's emotional, physical, or financial, it's probably something another fellow artist has felt. Vulnerability with your work, peers, and clients creates more room for freedom from tensions and constrictions. If you're having a hard time, it's healthier and just generally more beneficial to be honest with yourself and the people you're involved with so you can feel more at ease when figuring out how to get back into the creative spirit. It's a difficult thing to do, no doubt! However, it's necessary for establishing better connections with your clients, new connections with other artists, and deeper connections with yourself and your work.

What are some thoughts you have on ways to establish a comfortable art sharing environment?

Our CREATE SPACE event was amazing! It went so much better than I could have imagined. Everyone participated in their own little way and looked like they were having a relaxing time, it was a beautiful night. I can't wait til we can do another one!

I've got my Patreon up and running, so if you're looking to support my crafts and want to get a lil package in return, go check it out!

Transparency is the most admirable trait of an artist. I think the greatest works of art offer a glimpse into the artists' essence.
