Hi everyone!
I'll share my whale today.
I've tried to draw a whale a while ago but I failed.
I just couldn't get a shape right.
But the other day I saw @cafelate drawing a whale and that inspired me to try again.

こんにちは。
今日はクジラにパターンを描きました。
クジラは前にも描こうとして失敗しています。
何度描いても形が上手く描けないんです。
けれど先日 @cafelate さんのクジラを見て、また挑戦しようと思いました。
@cafelate さん、可愛いクジラのイラストをありがとうございます。

I spent more than I wanted on drawing this whale shape.
A couple of days of drawing a little, putting on the side and staring at it, erasing and drawing...
やっぱりクジラの形は難しくて、2日ほど描く、眺める、放置する、消してまた描くを繰り返しました。
I wasn't 100% happy with the shape but decided to add patterns.
I messed with the tip of my 0.1mm ink pen so I drew with 0.05mm ink pen.
It was hard too see such fine lines.
I might need glasses soon.
ちょっと納得いかないのですが、パターンを描くことに。
大好きなマンチン。
使っていた0.1mmのミリペンのペン先がつぶれてしまったので0.05mmで描くことに。
目がかすんで線が良く見えませんでした。
そろそろ眼鏡が必要なのかな。
I love how these flippers turned out.
胸びれがいい感じに出来ました。
This sketch book is 5.5 in. × 8.5 in. (14 cm × 21.6 cm) so this whale is not very big and I'm drawing with super fine pen.
The fine lines looks pretty but my eyes were going really blurred.
このスケッチブックは14 cm × 21.6 cmと小さめなので、このクジラもそれほど大きくありません。
それに0.05mmのミリペンで描くのは、めちゃめちゃ大変でした。
These fiddle heads are interesting looking patterns but hard to draw.
スプラウツ (ワラビみたいなパターン) は描いていて面白いのですが、難しいです。
Shade a little with pencil and my whale is done!
鉛筆で影を入れて出来上がり！

Glad you gave it another try, the whale is adorable and these patterns you chose are clean! My favorites were the portions that runs from the whales...nose? Face tip? Lol...through behind the fins where the negative space is dark, and those bubbles on the fin tip!

普段はザクザク描くのですが、今回はペン先が細すぎてよく見えないので、丁寧と言うかゆっくり描きました😅
