The walls have always been a place for expression. The street art is a little the makeup of walls, streets, buildings, roads..etc. Like a second skin, it dresses and would make these urban facilities almost alive.
On my last trip to valencia , walking through the alleys of this beautiful city... I took some nice pictures :

You are correct not all graffiti is bad. If controlled correctly, it is an asset.
