We continue with this week dedicated to hyperrealism, and so we culminate this special I have been able to bring for 2 consecutive weeks and I thought to intercalate some other artist in future publications, today is the turn of Rob Hefferan an English artist that from illustration jump to this genre that impact it. Come with me to know some things about his life and work.

Rob Hefferan was born in Manchester in 1968, although he always felt motivated to study art, but did not achieve his goal so for 1 year he studies illustration but this was not his thing so he continued in his quest, by then he began to work on some advertising campaigns and book covers, and as time went by he learned the hyperrealist technique becoming popular as an excellent figurative artist.

His theme is the female figure, standing out for the different details and subtlety it represents, he loves to play with the lights and leftovers which generates a great contrast in each picture, giving a cinematographic look, a style full of elegance and dedication to give the living sensation of each of the models.

Since he was a child he loved to draw, when he was only 10 years old he was almost conscious, very awake towards where to go in his life. Although much of his life was devoted to drawing with graphite, it was when he studied oil painting when he rediscovered painting, the explosion of creativity never stopped until he found his most comfortable place to compose.

His canvases can measure up to 4 meters, giving a unique and quite enlarged detail of each scene he recreates with a unique setting, his greatest influence has been the pre-Raphaelite artistic movement.
