On April 11, 1970, Apollo 13 is successfully launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida. It was carrying astronauts James A. Lovell, John L. Swigert, and Fred W. Haise. Apollo's destination was the Fra Mauro highlands of the moon. The astronauts were to conduct geological experiments and explore the Imbrium Basin.

On the evening of April 13, after an oxygen tank exploded, the new mission objective became to get the Apollo 13 crew home alive.

One hour after the explosion, Control Module was shut down and crew had to move from CM to Landing Module which had sufficient oxygen and use it as a lifeboat.

The Legendary " Houston, we've had a problem " was reported by Lovell than. It went around the world after the movie Apollon 13 in 1995.

Apollo 13 swung around the moon. When they were on the dark side of the moon, using sunlight as an alignment point, started the small descent engine of LM for five minutes and Apollo 13 was on its way home. The crew were home safely. Just one of them had a kidney infection.

After the surveys, it was announced that the reason of the explosion was due to production and test mistake. Nasa called the case Successful Failure.
