RE: Aberin and his Templar encomienda (building)

in #art6 years ago

Beautiful track these pelgrims did follow along the grassy and greeny fields completed with some olive treesall the way through Aberin. Never heard before of that village. Thanks for sharing.

Dear friend @guchtere: I am grateful for your visit. Aberin, is just a small village of the many that mark that beautiful land, which is Navarre. But in medieval times, it had to have its importance. Not in vain, the Templar Knights established one of their main encomiendas, where they not only dedicated to cultivate the fields and raise livestock, crops and goods that served not only to enrich the Order, but also to help maintain it in the Holy Land , because the maintenance of an army was costly and possibly in it the famous "treasure of the Templars", that everybody looks for today, vanished. It is one of the few examples that remain, of how they were and what the Templar encomiendas consisted of. Navarra, on the other hand, is a beautiful land full of contrasts and the pilgrim way between seas of green grass and oceans, metaphorically speaking, of that curious yellow flower, the jaramago, with which the mustard is made. thanks for your visit and your coment. A hug
