MADE IN CHINA

The inspiration for the creation of the poster was the work of the skilled and dedicated Venezuelan visual creator Santiago Pol. He uses a graphic language, in effect the artist appropriates everyday elements, the collective imagination, carefully analyzes the location of the sample, the urban context, with the intention of generating a shock to the spectator to the passer-by who is consumed by the monotony. Therefore, emphasis is placed on the process of de-coding and understanding the work.

In this sense for the elaboration of the posters loaded with humor and irony, the vibrant colors are important, as well as the hybridization, simplification of the forms, characteristics of the graphic proposal of the artist that serves as antecedent for the sample.

"Santiago Pol: a teacher who has devoted his whole life to urban communication, to the construction of the imaginary of our cities, to citizen optimism, to the aesthetic provocation and to our essence as Venezuelans, which he calls:" heat, color and Love of Little Venice. " Humberto Valdivieso

Made In China

The design of the poster begins with the simplification of the face shapes of sad children with slanted eyes workers in an industry, in turn these figures make up the image of the panda unmasked symbol of Chinese culture the image is reinforced with the linguistic message "Made in China" on a blue flat colored background that alludes to melancholy.

The proposal is a clear criticism of child exploitation, forced labor in Asia where the workforce seems to be more profitable for the industrial sector, including for large transnationals that take advantage of the needs of these people by offering jobs in inhuman conditions, Children who work as slaves making toys for others more fortunate and the only significant rest seems to be when death by exhaustion comes for them, a common term for these societies.

A thoughtful piece, @indianapatt ! I like the detailing, especially in the faces of the children, they are very unhappy and tired ; __ ;
