A Garden Full of What to Think About in Art
The peaceful scenes of this life are as beautiful as they are fleeting. Let's enjoy them while we can. That's what I was doing while drawing this garden scene outdoors on the grounds of the Huntington Library in Pasadena, California. Such moments that I try to capture in my artwork are helpful reminders pointing back to one of my favorite quotes. "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." (Philippians 4:8)

you are right, that everything we see with our eyes will last only for a short time. Even our own life will be finished in a short time (may be shorter than we would expect).
