in #art6 years ago (edited)

i didnt really draw much lately, because i didnt want to [and hated myself for that], but i finished this thing in 3 hours :D Finally! something close to motivation.
its very sketchy, but i kinda like it, hope you do too ^^

To be honest, i cant say that ive been drawing much in general this year or animation especially, but i think you can see the progress. or at least i hope so :D

Tips for animation. [if you know completely nothing]

Im very far from being an actual animator, but i think that by now i understand at least some stuff. this is not a tutorial, but still might be helpful.

1.) make a few "key" frames from beginning to the end and then start adding more frames in between. This way itll be easier to make it look smooth and nice. and if you just draw every frame from the beginning to the end, theres more chances to mess up :D
2.) if something isnt moving, i think its better to draw it once and leave it like that for the whole animation. there are good styles where every thing is redrawn in every frame, but i think its better to start with static and more clean parts in animation.
3.) use reference! look at yourself in the mirror/other people/videos and everything you can find. reference is very important in every form of art.

good luck ^^
