Bloodcrow

in #art6 years ago

Friends! My new drawing is The Blood Raven.

It turns out that this bird was stuffed into various parts of the body by the ancient Indians. In the Indians, the tattoo of a crow was stuffed into great shamans. In the Celts, the raven was considered a constant companion of evil. The black bird was associated with bloody cults and magic, the goddess of war called Morrigan, the spirit of death.

The connection with the fact that the raven is considered a long-liver and is able to live more than one hundred years, it was associated with longevity among many peoples. However, in the Christian world, the symbolism was only one - death and suffering. The reason is simple: during the Middle Ages across Europe there were numerous bloody wars. The corpses were left in the street, and given the raven's addiction to falling, it's easy to guess how often it was seen next to the dead or to the cemetery.

Wow! Beautiful! I like your technique, reminds me of graphics in oldfashioned printed books. Perfect!

The contrast between the red and black make it stand out, great work.
