The best way to relief stress and block out the outside world is to immerse yourself into something you love.

One way that is most helpful for me is to immerse myself in painting. Also, by indulging myself in creating a new painting, it heals and soothes my soul setting it on fire!

In creating this abstract piece, BEYOND THE ETHER, there were no planning in advance ... just feeling my way ... allowing intuition to guide me.

My color palette....well there was no color palette, per say.

I just dissolved assorted watercolor tablets in water and, slowly and carefully, poured onto the canvas laying flat on my studio floor.

Then of course, without further ado, I took a snapshot of the wet canvas and uploaded it to my computer. And as I mentioned before, I've convinced myself that I can see it/things/images clearer when it's on screen.

From my computer screen, I saw an outline of the first hint of a feminine skull/head. I painted in the eyelids and painted in the lips. Then I added the torso in black gesso with a huge heart. In the back of mind, I thought of her as a heavenly being.

Then as I studied the computer screen some more, it was then I saw the outline of an older man so I played around with his features without changing much.

I think the finished painting depicts two heavenly beings in deep meditation, imagining and manifesting on another realm .... in another dimension.
