Sharper than reality / Schärfer als die Realität (ENG/DE)
I must admit it took me a long time to realize what I was looking at.
Well, a photo of a man's face with a lot of color on it, interesting, admittedly, but also not the best photograph of my life, until the photo was presented to me as oil on canvas.
Sharper than reality, it immediately took on a new meaning.
Eloy Morales is the name of the 39-year-old artist from Madrid, Spain.
Since 1995 he has been painting hyper-realistic oil paintings, mainly of himself and his family. The details in his work are crazy.
The paintings are an almost exact copy of the original photographs. Looking at his process, it seems as if he works patiently in small pieces, fills in pigments and mixes them over time. The painting spreads and grows instead of being built up by layers. To do justice to the details, his paintings are also quite large.
As a rule, the self-portraits consist of his face smeared with different colors to capture the light in many different ways.
The artist obviously concentrates on the physical aspects of the face, but also tries to work out psychological characteristics of the depicted individual.
Morales could be one of the best in the world when it comes to photorealistic and hyperrealistic oil painting.
One of the most famous he is certainly, with already successful exhibitions in France, USA, Mexico, South Korea, Spain and Great Britain, Germany and is represented in the Howard A. and Judith Tullman Collection, one of the largest collections of realistic art.
"My portraits are a reflection of my inner conflict in my relationship to color... it's a mask I'm hiding behind. At the same time it symbolizes the war painting as an indication of my constant inner struggle with my feelings when painting."
This contribution shows only a small part of his skills, he draws pencil drawings and also paints landscapes photostyles, of course.

Ich muss zugeben es hat lange gedauert bis ich wirklich realisiert hatte was ich mir da gerade anschaue.
Naja ein photo von einem Männergesicht mit viel Farbe drauf, zugegeben interessant aber auch nicht die beste Fotografie meines Lebens, bis mir das photo als öl auf Leinwand vorgestellt wurde.
Schärfer als die Realität bekam sofort eine andere Bedeutung.
Eloy Morales ist der Name des 39 Jahre alten Künstlers aus Madrid, Spanien.
Seit 1995 mahlt er hyperrealistische Ölgemälde vor allem von sich selbst und seiner Familie. Die Details in seinen Werken sind unheimlich.
Die werke sind eine fast exakte Kopie der original Photographien.
Betrachtet man seinen Prozess, so scheint es, als ob er geduldig in kleinen Stücken arbeitet, Pigmente einfüllt und sie im Laufe der Zeit vermischt. Das Gemälde breitet sich aus und wächst, anstatt durch Schichten aufgebaut zu werden. Um den details gerecht zu werden sind seine Gemälde auch recht groß.
In der Regel bestehen die Selbstporträts aus seinem mit verschiedenen Farben verschmierten Gesicht, um das Licht auf vielfältige Weise einzufangen.
Der Künstler konzentriert sich offensichtlich auf die physischen Aspekte des Gesichts, versucht aber auch, psychologische Merkmale des dargestellten Individuums herauszuarbeiten.
Morales könnte einer der Besten der Welt sein, wenn es um fotorealistische und hyperrealistische Ölmalerei geht.
Einer der bekanntesten ist er sicherlich, mit bereits erfolgreichen Ausstellungen in Frankreich, USA, Mexiko, Südkorea, Spanien und Großbritannien, Deutschland und er ist in der Howard A. und Judith Tullman Collection, einer der größten Sammlungen realistischer Kunst, vertreten.
