Yeah, I think Bitconnect promoters are a bunch of scums but Carlos Mantos didn't do this for the money. Apart from the flight and hotel costs for this conference, Carlos didn't gain anything from this. Youtubers who stick their referral links up their fan's throats like CryptoNick, however, deserve all the hate they are getting.
