Between 1000 and 1290 one of the most bloodthirsty rebellions that humanity has experienced occurred, and if ... THE REBELLION OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, to mark its papal religious dominion the church contracts armies to brutally punish the European people, this movement it was known as crusades, and for me @oscurity was a cruel way to break the free thought of Christian society.

The striking thing about this is that although the crusaders imposed a religious ideology seeking the holy grail many peoples highlighting the TURKS rose up in arms and gave many defeats to the Crusaders.

My painting represents the dark side of a powerful (catholic) religion that favored the dead in exchange for personal goals that they could never reach, I show a fearsome warrior on top of a horse with his sword and red shield that was the typical color of the dress, surrounding the warrior a lot of crosses that represents his support, under his feet a shield of warriors and innocents fallen by his sword, to his left pennants, swords and people that represents dominion, and war, of course a fire that consumed everything in its wake...

Ho wow! I want to thank @juliakponsford @vachemorte and @curie for these contests this has been the most fun and the most creative I had to be to convey an idea. I hope that the next theme is even harder hahaha, I had a lot of fun doing this illustration.

There are four brushes I use in this painting, pastel chalk, oils, diffuser and texture. Son cuatro los pinceles que utilice en esta pintura, la tiza pastel, el oils, difuminador y textura.

WE START / COMENCEMOS

Lo primero que haremos es crear un lienzo para proceder a realizar nuestro boceto, en el primer volumen te explique como configurar el lienzo, hacemos clik en NEW.

PAINTING WITH CHALKS / PINTANDO CON TIZAS

In this particular illustration I did not want to make it very clear and highlight the oils because I inspired myself in the books of Orlando Paes Filho (Aungus), I recommend them is brutal and his paintings have that touch that I like semi abstract and dark, with a bloody touch. Well make the sketch with the digital pen then select the pastel chalks and start painting.

En esta ilustración en particular no quise hacerla muy nítida y destacar mucho los aceites pues me inspire en los libros de Orlando Paes Filho (Aungus), se los recomiendo es brutal y sus pinturas tienen ese toque que a mi me gusta semi-abstracto y oscuro, con un toque sangriento. Bueno realice el boceto con la pluma digital luego seleccione las tizas pasteles y comencé a pintar.

OILS APPLICATION / APLICACIÓN DE OILS

Once I painted my sketch with the pastel chalks I apply the oils, I put this image so you can see that there is a difference when you apply the oils you see a sharper image but as I mentioned I wanted to leave with that mysterious and dark touch that characterizes my art.

Una vez pintado mi boceto con las tizas pasteles aplico los aceites, te coloque esta imagen para que veas que hay diferencia cuando se aplica los aceites se observa una imagen mas nítida pero como te mencionaba la quise dejar con ese toque misterioso y oscuro que caracteriza mi arte.

CONFIGURING THE LIGHT / CONFIGURANDO LA LUZ

Light is important in this painting to highlight the background of fire and that our silhouette is not lost completely in the shadows, so project a light in the upper right corner.

La luz es importante en esta pintura para resaltar el fondo de fuego y que nuestra silueta no se pierda totalmente entre las sombras, así que proyecte una luz en la esquina superior derecha.
