National gallery Victoria, which is located in the Australian city of Melbourne, will open its doors to an exhibition of more than 100 works of art created by representatives from 32 countries. Among the artists, designers, technologists, architects and animators at this exhibition also takes part legendary Australian sculptor Ron Mueck(Ron Mueck), famous for its hyperrealistic works. He presented in the gallery of Victoria his biggest sculptural composition to date, which is called "Mass" and is a 100 huge human skulls of different sizes and shapes, folded directly on the floor in a messy pile.

As a dark study of death and the expansion of hyperrealistic sculptural practice, the composition "Mass" is based on the biological structure of the human skull, considering it as an extraordinary facet of humanity. This impressive wall of heads also recalls the countless remains in the catacombs of Paris and at the same time evokes a strange sense of a deep connection between impermanence and eternity.

In his" mass", Ron MUEK extols the form that binds all humanity and pays tribute to the symbol that is found in religion and art of almost all cultures and peoples. Visitors to the Victoria gallery in Melbourne, walking through its halls surrounded by huge white skulls, have a great opportunity to finally think about the transience of human life.
