It's M'Birthday! Having a Show!

This piece, for those of you out there who have not seen it yet, is my own tribute to Vincent Van Gogh. He was famous for his style, and for the particular subject matters he preferred to focus on. Two of them were his sunflowers, and his self-portraits. So I made a combo. It's called La Tristesse Durera Toujours. I think this is funny.

I have had one person interested in owning it, but it's such a large, odd thing, it'll probably be a while before it finds its forever home. Maybe it'll take me being 'discovered' and commodified, but that's alright. I can still play with details until the day comes.

This is my display of the day, because it IS my birthday, and I can see no better time to be self-congratulatory even though I did almost none of the work being born. That award should be forwarded to my mother, who also made sure I survived the first couple decades.

Anyway, Mikey fed me a huge piece of cake that he made for me, so I'm on a bit of a sugar rush and can't sit still to type any more right now. Hope to see folks at Artusiasm's art show reception tonight! 1684 St. Clair St. West, Toronto, On. 7:00PM-11:00PM.
