Tomorrow is St. Valentine's Day, so if you are epileptic or a beekeeper or a lover, this is supposed to be your guy! In the U.S., school children celebrate the holiday by giving a bunch of pre-printed, licensed cardboard to every person in their class---whether they are friends with the people they are giving stuff to or not. (I kinda get that. I hate seeing kids feeling sad because they were left out...)
Once you grow up and finish school, you buy flowers or Valentine's cards or candy for your lover (or the person you want to have as a lover----be careful, there, please) OR, if you're like our family, we buy presents for our Valentines that they ACTUALLY WANT... Nothing big, but cool stuff.
I actually enjoy St. Valentine's Day because I like anything that gives us some novelty to enjoy. (Next month is EASTER...and THAT holiday has some fascinating weirdness to it...) I'm also lucky that I met and married someone who I have spent 26 happy years with! (Tomorrow is the 26th anniversary of our first date!!! Ain't that somethin'!?) So...there's that...
Meanwhile, watch out for ghosts who want to know what love is... They're super scary and they hang out in arcades... Enjoy the novelty of the holiday, give cardboard to people who you like (and don't like---so they don't feel left out,) and only tell ghosts what love is if you REALLY KNOW (and aren't afraid of ghosts...)
