For me this concept is social media with the text content stored in the blockchain. The use of blockchain allows rewards for upvote, comments and post to be performed by each user. Useful comments and posts are safe because they are guaranteed to be on the blockchain basis. Content in the form of images can be uploaded and hosted on Steemit.

The user account can increase the number of posts and comments, and the author who gets promoted will receive rewards in the form of prize money in the form of crypto money named STEEM and tokens pegged in US dollars called Steem Dollars. Awards are also given to users who curate (find) popular content.
upvote value is very dependent on how many account owners have Steem Power.
The more like the SP, the higher the upvote value. The upvote will give reward in steem and Steem Dollar. By this way Steemit can give "LIFE" to the user. More reward will make the account will grow bigger.
Transparency in Steemit reminds me of life in the ocean where we can see water from anywhere. Clear sea water so that we can see an account domiciled as a plankton, redfish, minnows, dolphin, Ocra or Whale. All are in steemit shade. A community that is always awake and will help each other. but in steemit we also need to be careful not to do plagiarism, because it is very bad. Original and quality content is a post that will be very beneficial for all residents of steemit oceans.
As the first blockchain-based social media, it is now starting to get a warm welcome and get a lot of challenges because almost all social media are starting to try blockchain based steps. If STeemit doesn't improve, it will be defeated by other media that have larger users like Twitter and Facebook.
Maintaining steemit oceans is an obligation of all of us and of course the stake holders.
