Another visual artist suggested I work on the eyes to make the expressions of my portraits "less intense". I looked over some eye drawing guides, and set to work.

This is a big change for me, because I typically begin with the nose, and shape my faces around that.

So far, so good, right?

And then I forgot I was doing a step by step and the rest of the face just kind of happened.

And I had some space left, so I filled it. Working on my collarbones and necks.

And was finished before I knew it.
