Giza is just outside Cairo, in fact, you can see the Great Pyramids on a clear day right from Cairo. The simple form of a pyramid is so pure that it is absolutely amazing to see it standing out on the horizon. It is hard to imagine the scene when the architect first presented the idea to the Pharoah, "here is the design of your tomb..." A 5-year-old can draw that triangle. Needless to say, the Pharoah bought the design!
