尼罗河是埃及的生命之源，全都是因为它的水。自古以来，尼罗河一直也是人类和物质运输的主要通道。毋庸置疑，从上游到下游都如你所想的那样简单，只需上任何船随波逐流，河流就能将你带到目的地。往上游则取决于你的肌肉来划船，或你所能掌握风的技术。尼罗河的古代埃及船被称为felucca，这是一艘带有三角形帆的木船。
今天，尼罗河提供了一种不同的生命支持：旅游业。数以千万计的游客来到这片古老的法老土地上，200多艘游船现在开始从卢克索出发，然后在阿斯旺下船。这次旅行需要4或5天的时间来覆盖200公里的距离，让您有时间参观位于卢克索和阿斯旺之间的Esna，Edfu和Kom Ombo热门景点。从阿斯旺到亚历山德拉的尼罗河的长度比此要多5倍，这会让你了解尼罗河对埃及的重要性。

The Nile is the life-giving artery of Egypt, all because of its water. The Nile has been the main thoroughfare for all kinds of transport of men and material since the ancient time. Needless to say, going from upstream to downstream is as easy as you can think, just flow along in any vessel and the river can bring you to your destination. Going up the river depends either on your muscle to row the craft or on your skill to master the wind. The ancient Egyptian boat of the Nile is called a felucca, which is a wooden boat with a triangular shaped sail.
Today, the Nile provides a different kind of life-support: the tourist industry. Tens of millions of tourists come to see this ancient land of the Pharaohs, and more than 200 cruise boats now start the journey from Luxor and before disembarking in Aswan. This trip takes 4 or 5 days to cover the 200 km distance, giving you amper time to visit the popular sites of Esna, Edfu and Kom Ombo laying in between Luxor and Aswan. The entire length of the Nile from Aswan to Alexandra is about 5 times longer, this would give you some ideas of how important the Nile is to Egypt.
