参议院，或以拉丁文称为的Curia Julia，是二千年来少数存保得比较完整的几座建筑物之一，它大体上几乎完好无损。该建筑于公元前44年由朱利叶斯凯撒开始建造，但他遭暗杀死亡，终于由奥古斯都在公元前29年完成。

它在7世纪时被改建成了一座教堂，此举维护了这建筑物。到20世纪30年代，该建筑才经历了一次完整的重修。

My Original Sketch: The Senate House, Roman Forum, Rome.

The Senate House, or known as the Curia Julia in Latin, is one of the few buildings that survived for more than 2000 years, it is by and large intact. The construction was started in 44 BC by Julius Caesar, but interrupted by his death in the assassination, and finished by Augustus in 29BC.

It was converted into a church in 7th-century, which served to preserve the build. And in 1930s, the building underwent a complete remodeling.
