Youtube Recommendation: For everybody who is crazy about swords and interested in blacksmithing

in #art8 years ago

Here are three great Youtube channels I really like and are worth being subscribed.

1. Man at Arms Reforged

My first advise is the „Man at Arms - Reforged“ series. The Channel is about the Baltimore Knife & Sword crew who are recreating cool weapons wanted by the subscribers. In the videos they are giving an overview about the forging and crafting techniques being used to create different types of swords and other cool things like armor. The channel’s brilliance can be found in the involved craftsman from Baltimore Knife & Sword. They have the ability to explain in short and easy words what they are doing and how it is done.

2. Michael Cthulhu

The second channel I highly recommend is michaelcthulhu. This guy is just awesome - he creates the biggest, craziest and most badass swords and weapons I have ever seen. This channel is not a forging channel because Michael does use very modern techniques to build his sword, but in his videos he shows you every single step from the raw piece of metal to the final product. In order to construct his sword he uses his high welding skills and is also explaining accurately what he is doing.

3. Torbjörn Ahman

For my third recommendation I have chosen the channel of Torbjörn Ahman, a blacksmith from Sweden who produces tools and decorative things. In his channel you are able to see what beautiful things you can make with glowing metal. Torbjörns are worth being watched because he works in a very small forge in his garden and just started with his own work about three years ago. You are able to see a lot of different techniques being used whereas he is creating very different things in his videos.
