Art - Humanizing the Bat - Including step by step process
Hello People!
Today I drew my favorite here, the Batman, but with a twist. Tried to make him look more human, Bruce Wayne in all his glory, human like.
We are not used to see Batman like this but, this idea was a realistic approach to all his struggle.
My Idea here was the stuff we hate to see, a broken and tired man under the mask, who still continues the fight after all the wounds and psychological factors. And yet he menages to answer the call every time. This depicts him after a fight, without the time to heal the wounds, with a bottle of booze to ease the pain a bit and sanitize the cuts.
Here is the process:
This is the initial drawing done in Photoshop with a Wacom drawing pad
Added basic color here and buildings of Gotham in the back
Worked on lighting effects a bit
Background worked on and inserted
Finalizing the illustration, light and shadow business and then a thought...
Why not make it all Black and White for the effect of the emotion.
