My Wife Paint's Rocks and Sells Them

So she started painting rocks awhile ago, for a group here in Twin Falls Idaho called Twin Falls Rocks. What they do is folks will paint rocks and hide them around the area and also will look for rocks to find. The idea is for the rocks to be found and re-hid.

It is encouraged for those that find them to re-hide them in a different area(town) in hopes to be found , and spread them out further.

Anyway on many occasions she has been asked to paint rocks for people that just want to collect them. Folks have offered her upwards of $20-$30 each for her rocks. Many times she has just given them away. It was suggested to begin selling them online, so that is what she is going to do.

She has decided to paint rocks by order. Meaning you ask her to paint something on a rock, by providing a picture or referring to rocks she has painted before. At that time she will decide to either paint the rock or decide not to.

If she decides that she can paint the rock, or rocks she will then give you a price. If you agree then the process of finding the correct rock to paint on and then paint will begin. You must understand, that like most artist's, she is a perfectionist She will not even start until she has the "RIGHT" rock, or rocks. This may take several week on it's own.

This is NOT a quick process. Please do not expect it to happen in LESS than 3 weeks. Rocks are painted on a first ordered first painted schedule. Because of this she will only accept 5 pending orders at one time. When she has more than 5 orders you will be added to a list and contacted as space comes available on the painting schedule.

If you are on the first 5 list you may move your order to the top of the list by prepaying in full the price of the rock, the shipping charges, plus an ADDITIONAL $100. That's right $100. Why $100? Would you be happy if your order was put on HOLD? That is what will happen to the other 4 orders on the list if you pay the additional cost. This can only be done after she has found the rocks to be painted on. Remember just finding the rocks can take a few weeks. No rush is available for this.

Only one rush order will be accepted. Even with an approved and paid for rush order, there will be no date given on when the rocks will be completed. The rush order only promises to put your order first. It still may take a few weeks to complete depending on number of rocks, and the complexity of the order.

In general your rocks will cost approximately $15 each with an additional $5(Approximately) shipping to the continental United States. (Shipping prices will vary. If your rock is BIG it could cost more than the rock painting itself.)

The pictures you find in this post are just a few examples of her work. They would all fall into the $15 price range, unless you wanted them on larger rocks. If you would like to place an order feel free to leave a comment or send me a message on FB
