Seeing The Power In Being Vulnerable - Through Art, Words And Poetry
But being vulnerable is powerful!
embrace that vulnerability, because it makes us more authentic, we see ourselves for who we are, we are beautiful!
Allow yourself to do something, when there is no guarantees of success, take a leap of faith into the unknown.
Surrender to what will be and let the need to control slip away.
stop trying to predict what will happen and let yourself get lost and found in the uncertainty of it all.
Let go of any shame, that you may hold in admitting that you are struggling.
Vulnerability
Allow yourself to be vulnerable, yes of course at first, we feel fear, we fear rejection. But we also come to realize that we are allowing others to see us for who we are, to really know us. We are opening ourselves up to being loved, to be celebrated.
Now is time to break down those walls, to dissolve those years of fear that have clung onto you and clouded your judgement.
Stop trying to numb it.
Stop spending money to fill a void, stop turning to drink and drugs so you don't have to feel. Because when we do that we end up not feeling at all. You can't just numb vulnerability ,you end up numbing everything else as well, the good and the bad.
So what now!
Now you find yourself living a life of denial, pretending what you do doesn't effect others. We need to be true to ourselves. We need to open up and allow others to see us, to see who we really are. We need to open ourselves up so that we can love and be loved.
Yearning
for thoughts,
that fled in dreams.
of distances that
span a time
of make believe,
of timeless wonders
that flicker in my mind,
Do I take this hand
demanding to command,
through silent streets,
that echo
long forgotten waves
riding crescents of sound
that break through hidden caves,
eroded in my dreams
and now brought to life
is this the way
to feel my forgotten extremes.
To realize that
the art of letting go,
provides me with
the freedom
to be in flow.
As always I write these words, as much for me as for anybody else.

Its not the first time you have reminded me to be courageous... thankyou for doing so!!! Did you make that with the ddg?? I must give it a go!!! Beautiful and inspiring words. A few years back I learnt the VALUE of vulnerability. Isnt it funny how we see things like grief, vulnerability and fear as negative, but without them we cannot truly know courage and love?
