Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #121 'The Window'

in #art6 years ago (edited)

The name of this art photograph is: 'The Window'

This canvas-like photograph shows hard worn down environment of the working people. An old building's ugliness becomes a motive for to express the drudgery of common people's everyday surrounding and, in the process, becomes beautiful in its decay. There is a window through which you cannot see, a wall you don't want to touch and a rain downpipe that has seen its good days a long time ago. All of this is crowned with almost a divine light reflection. The most important element gives this composition a way out, a solution. The sun still shines down on everyone, no matter how poor or how rich. This is what the crown-like reflection above the window is telling me.

The window itself is very interesting. Notice how many linear square structures are in there. You cannot see inside, all you can see is another building reflecting on the glass. This is a very significant moment. Windows in a window.

Textures of the wall, shapes and overall tonal ranges are so beautifully defining the limited choice of colours in this scheme. Dark olive green and sandy brown with a hint of light orange and some very little light pink (but only in the window) create such a powerful, yet quite a simple combination.

Would you like to see inside through the window? Is there a way out of this conundrum, really? Take a longer look, and let me know how does it feel for you.

Enjoy! :)

Nice explanation @velimir. The way you do the description gives a total picture of what you wanted to achieve and your creative thinking is admirable. The location is perfect and i must commend you for taking your time to look for such.
The windows in a window is a good one. How did you manage to get that. Pls Get back to me on this. :)
I would love to see inside although the light from above makes it look as if that is a room and there is probably a hole at the top. Any way dont know how you pulled that off but its really amazing. More grease to your elbow

Thank you very much for your kind comment! Sure thing, my major task in window in the window was to notice it! It was already there. No compositing was done. Cheers!

Okay. Keep up the good work. You are highly skilled and you will go places. Looking forward to the next one:)

As usual, great inspiration! your work is really stupendous. Although I have one question, is it analog? It really looks like! Anyway, all your pics invite to real reflexion and pleasure. Keep on this job! Regards

It is digital but took some effort to make it analogue. I am still one of those die-hards who believe that digitalization took away too much from photography :D

at least it is an interesting job, I mean in the artistic way as there is a deep research about the result ;-)

When I look at this work..one thing come in my mind is the linguistic barrier.. the window represents the communications between the communities. If it is clear they understood everything between them. The reflection on the window is the total miss communications, it rebounds as as it is.. The dark side in the wall represent the one who stay away from that because of the communication issues. Thanks for sharing with us.. @velimir

I look at your "The Window" closely and thoroughly.. I couldn't found any trace to go in..

wow, very deep. I like your line of thought. Thank you! nope you cannot go in ;)

WOW bro, what a great photograph and what a well defined description. I only saw a window but now I see the beauty that gives us the view with its vertical and horizontal lines which have the power to transform into a perfect square. I liked a lot, excellent work.

when i looked at window i said A sad window and looking for people too see it how alone it is ... mysterious type picture ... reflecting another building .. an old window A sad window ...
thanks @velimir for sharing this beautiful window

yes, very much so. thank you!

looks like a window that does not look anywhere but the photo transmits a powerful message! :)

Nowadays we have realistic paintings that look like photos. But this photo looks like a painting.
