Castillo de Santa Bárbara y #2 fin

Hola steemit, continuando con los dibujos del Castillo de Santa Bárbara hoy os traigo la última zona de la Fortaleza, es la parte más alta y la más antigua se data en el siglo IX cuando los musulmanes invadieron y dominaron la casi totalidad de la Península Ibérica durante 8 siglos, se le conoce con el nombre de La Torreta. Lo dibujé hace 20 años.

Esta es la Torre del Homenaje, es la primera edificación que nos encontramos dejando atrás el Cuartel de la Tropa, accedemos a ella subiendo por un empinado camino que hay a la derecha del Patio de Armas, es la última zona defensiva del Castillo, atravesamos un pequeño puente de piedra ya que hay un pequeño foso natural en la roca.

Justo enfrente ahí una pared con los escudos de Alicante y de otros nobles que en su época ayudaron a defender la Fortaleza de constantes ataques que sufrió,en esa zona se ubican el antiguo Hospital , La Sala Larga, el Cuerpo de ingenieros y las murallas medievales más antiguas, hay también un pequeño bar como el de la zona baja y unas mesas para poder tomar un café o refresco.

En la actualidad en la Sala del Cuerpo de Ingenieros está instalado él MUSA museo de la Ciudad de Alicante, también está el ascensor que sube desde la Playa del Postiguet a través de un túnel de 208 metros y la altura que se excavó en la roca es de 143 metros.

Ya solo queda la parte en la que se construyó la primera edificación que era la Alcazaba, de la que no quedan restos por culpa de la Guerra civil que hubo bombardeos navales a la ciudad, se encuentra un poco más arriba en el Macho del Castillo, donde se ubican la garita de la Campana que está volada sobre el monte y la casa del Gobernador, bueno ya os he mostrado un poco de la Historia de mi ciudad y de su Patrimonio, os dejo un tríptico que publicó el Ayuntamiento donde se muestra y especifica todas las zonas.
