Anonymous pedestrians.
"Monument to the victims of martial law" Jerzy Kalin, the original name "Transition 1977-2005", is located in the city of Wroclaw at the crossroads of Marshal Pilsudski and Svidnitskogo streets; During the acute political crisis in 1981, there were demonstrations of the most active people.
The military law ended in 1983, but people still remember this period of dictatorship. During this period, many ordinary citizens were arrested, killed or disappeared without a trace. Simple people were silent, afraid of reprisals (more than 40,000 people were arrested), and those who were not afraid went underground and released leaflets.
Exactly 24 years later, the declaration of war time, day after day, opened the monument "Transition 1977-2005". Jerzy Kalina installed 14 statues that gave the features of their loved ones. On one side of the road, it seems, seven people are immersed in the ground, and across the road they seem to rise from the ground.
