Whale Drawing with Watercolour | Who is your favourite Whale?
Hi Guys! I am back with a drawing of a whale with watercolours so do comment your favourite whale on steemit! What made me to draw a whale was, I was checking out profiles of few whales to make a post on art-fiction contest being organized by @geekgirl that ends on December 4th but I am having hard time coming up with a fiction story as I've never written any fiction yet. So, I intend this post will serve to call out fiction writers out here on steemit to team up with me for the contest. Moving further, I used primary watercolours, a flat brush, round brush, black marker and pencil for this drawing. I would like to present you guys with the work done and hope you guys like it.
Also, I would like to show the process of drawing the Whale with few snaps taken with my phone's camera.
Just a simple sketch of a Whale.
Lightly colouring the parts of whale with blue for upper part of the body, yellow for lower part of the body and red for the fins and tails.
Adding more colours to the same parts! BTW the sparkling is due to reflection of light on water.
Experimenting with some abstract above the whale to depict air.
Light blue wash below the whale for ocean.
Finally, using balck marker to make the whale's figure to stand out!
