Hi guys. So one of my recent post was a fanart of Finn the Human from Adventure Time.(I'll leave a link below). On that post I've talk about the characters on the said cartoon series. Here's another Adventure Time Character that I got to share. Marceline, the Vampire Princess. She's one of the quirky characters that I love the most. She's a century old vampire, feeds from the color red. Yep, it doesn't necessary needs to be blood like a typical vampire that we read and watch on books and movies fed on. It could be anything that is red in color. She suck all the red in that thing, and that's why she loves apples. She doesn't eat it like we do, she just bites into it using her 2 fangs and sip the color until it's gone.

She's actually one of the key character on how the Land of Ooohh was formed together with Ice King. If you have watched some of the episodes of Ice King and Marceline before the Mushroom war like the Season 5 Episode 14, you'll discover the two of them are best friends when they are still normal humans. If you dig deeper into that, you'll know that Ice King was actually a hero and tried to save the earth. But he has lost his memories after the incident. Marceline tried to make the Ice King remember using a song but failed (Season 4, Episode 25).

And besides being a Vampire, she's also a musician. But she love base guitar the most. She often sings on the episodes she's in and kinda makes it a musical cause she sings every line she says.

And did I already tell you that she was originally the owner of FInn and Jake 's tree-house? Yes she was. Which you can watch on Season 1, Episode 12 , when they first met Marceline. In the end Marcy let them stay in her house. But later on she sold it to Kim Kil Whan, Jake the dog and Lady Rainicorn's son in exchange for a one "LUNATIC BASE". But don't worry. Finn and Jake got it back.

And last thing you need to know about Marceline is she is best-friends with Princess Bubblegum. And to tell you the truth I think they are more than that. If you follow along with their story line, you'll know that each episode that they are included together, their past is getting revealed one by one and I can tell that all of the blushing, compliments and the butterflies on their stomach that they felt is not what you'll feel to your friend, it is something deeper. And on the mini series of Adventure Time , Titled: Stakes, you'll discover that they are really in-love with each other, although it was not really published on the show that they are really in a gay relationship but it is so obvious. Like how they are casually holding hands, and when Marceline and PB visit Ice King like a "meet the parent" thing.

I really wanted to make a Princess Bubblegum X Marceline theme of digital drawing but I'll save it on my future post and maybe I'll tackle more on the Pb and Marcy gay relationship. And i really want to commend the creator of Adventure Time for being unafraid to include LGBT characters into the show.

Below is the step by step process of the digital drawing. I would not elaborate in thoroughly since I've already made a lot of tutorial about this before.

2.Flat colors of her hair and face.

3.Flat colors of the guitar.

4.Flat colors of her body.

5.And then the details of her guitar.

6.Next is her clothing.

7.Then the shadows and highlights.

8.And then her eyes and some extra shadows on her face.

9.Just a little tip, when drawing digitally, it is always handy to flip the image horizontally, cause you'll easily notice the unproportional of your drawing so that you can edit it before you say "It's done!". You see that the outcome will be better.
