#187 DIY Red Packet ✂🖌 | 🐷自制猪年红包

Hey, what's up my friends! As you may know, people in China and ethnic Chinese around the world have been celebrating the New Year of the Pig since a few days ago. To go with the flow and to join @christinelook's contest of presenting red packets, I just made a red packet from scratch. (Thanks @fruityexplorer and @jenina619 for tagging me! =)) And it's definitely part of my #beautifulsunday (by @ace108) and #sublimesunday (by @c0ff33a)! :)

今天是初六，大家继续新年好！🎉 感谢@fruityexplorer和@jenina619提醒我参加@christinelook的晒红包活动。因为已经长大好多年，没有红包拿，这里也不像巴黎伦敦旧金山温哥华之类的城市有那么多华人，没什么过年气氛。所以我就自己来做一个红包吧！

请看具体步骤：

Here's the breakdown:

Prepare a piece of red cardstock:
裁一张红色薄卡纸：

Cut it out, fold and glue it into a packet:
剪、折、固体胶粘合：

Since it's the Pig Year, I draw a cartoon pig face at the back and cut the shape out:
背面封口画上猪头，按外形剪一下：

I write down the Chinese character of SPRING in front with a typical brush for calligraphy, but I don't have Chinese ink at home, so I use the black metallic paint instead. It's not as smooth, but it's shining which is pretty cool and festive. :)

I feel this type of paint is suitable for making greeting cards (like what I did when DIYing the Christmas card), and red packets are similar to greeting cards in terms of their function and medium, aren't they?

我小手一挥，在红包正面写下个“春”字，因为春节、春回大地嘛，总不能写个“猪”🐖字吧~ 😃 因为家里没有墨水，就用黑色闪光涂料代替了。虽然没那么丝滑好运笔，比较干涩，但有一种bling bling的效果，简直亮瞎眼~ 想想上次DIY圣诞贺卡也是用的这种涂料，反正红包和贺卡不是差不多的东西吗？一个供写字，一个供装钱+写字。。。

正面没写“猪”，那反面画只猪头🐷好了。我看着猪鼻子突出的地方，突然想到个不错的办法。就是用刀🔪在下面的纸上刻一条缝，这样把猪鼻子插进去就算给红包封口了。但是鼻子进去后，会有一截被红纸挡住，所以我又沿着那道弧线画了张嘴，这样不管插不插入，看着都不会奇怪。我是不是有点机智？😆

Make a cut for the "pig nose" to get in, so the packet can be sealed after the bank notes are put in:
