This is a interesting landscape - somehow I have a feeling I've been there!
In my youth there were places on Laaerberg where we played that looked something like that. In winter, we were riding bobsleights at a place we called "Todesbahn" - one wrong steering, and you either jump over or run smack into a broken concrete wall. Pools filled with ground water. There were also old air raid shelters nearby to explore and find "stuff" in the rubble. When we told the younger kids we found a body in there, they would not go near the place again, haha. Good way to get rid of them.......
