My proudest moment is when my son and I were walking on the street on the way to mall and he sees an old man sleeping in the sidewalk. He ask me to buy food for the old man because he thinks if he has no house to sleep in maybe he has no food to eat and must be hungry too. And so we buy him food and he give the coins he got on his pocket. I was touched! I'm very proud of him!

A classic tale about a fierce, angry wolf that finds love and redemption in the care of a kind human after being abused by people and toughened by its environment.
It puts you in the animal's perspective.

I'd rather not spoil the book but if someone wants to have and achieve whatever he or she desires to achieve in all aspects in life - reading and understanding this book is one of the keys
of course there are many other books
but this is my favorite book among all of them - atm :)
and I highly recommend it for everyone to read specially in the time we are living in

There is no such thing as a single book that can be recommended to everyone. People have different tastes and desires.
There are, however, books that everybody should read, liking it, or not.
One of these books is [The Wealth of Nations] by Adam Smith.
As the basis of all economics, this book is important for everyone that wants to live in a world ruled by money.
Read it. Was surprisingly disappointed by how dry it is, but it's still important.
Yup totally agree. Everyone has different interest, and naturally, we gravitate towards the subject that holds our interests the most. Comparing one book to another is like comparing an apple to an orange.
The Wealth of Nation is an extremely interesting read because the single most important invention: money is threatening to dominate humanity. It's not only important to understand the role and origin of money, but it's crucial to learn how to manage it wisely.
The Bible, it is the key to eternal life

Read it several times. Definitely would recommend to everyone if you hadn't already.
"The Silmarillion" by the great J. R. R. Tolkien. This book isn't just great, it is like a scripture of Arda (the world where Tolkien's books take place). Comparable to the mythology of our world, it is one complex piece of writing, but if you're a fantasy fan, or even liked the New Line Cinema's adaptations to "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit", this book is a must read.
I had a first print of this book somewhere. Fold out map and all. Never read it. I was afraid to damage it lol.
Books are similar to perfumes: everyone has a favourite, personal scent that changes something about you.
There are books that can be read always, others that need a different kind of attention and care.
Among the evergreen book of my life there are Italo Calvino's books, a talented, poetic, elegant and meaningfull italian writer. My favorite story is "Palomar", but I love everything he has written.

The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger
Why I recommend you read it? Its a coming of age novel about Holden Caulfield who's sarcastic, sensitive nature shows a learning curve for the future.
The book potrays rejection and powerlessness that Holden feels throughout the story. He wants to get close to people yet keeps getting pushed away. Alienated from his friends, kicked out from his school.It comes down to a point when: He pays a prostitute to talk to him, and nothing else. After she leaves he is confronted by the pimp for not paying, and gets beaten up.
It got me through a hard time in life. His metaphorhical symbolism: "Where do the ducks, go when its winter". Still resounds about where will we end up after seasons come and go.
This book resounds across millions of people in the world. And I hope it will for you, too.

Never read this actually, was banned during my school years. Didn't have the urge to pick it up though now that you've jogged interest...
Multiple Intelligences: New Horizons
by Howard E. Gardner
This book builds in The Theory of Multiple Intelligences by Prof. Gardner and identifies a number of areas in which people demonstrate intelligence, this includes Musical/Rhythmic Intelligence, Mathematical/Logical Intelligence, Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence, Visual/Spatial Intelligence, Verbal Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Intra-personal Intelligence and Naturalistic Intelligence.
This book helps teens to understand their own strengths broadening the measurement of intelligence from the IQ tests we had. It also helps them understand the strengths of their peers and other people they associate with and see their observations in the context of their intelligences. You can read more here.
