Do You Believe in Astrology?

In India, a large number of Hindus believe in astrology. There is a very close connection between astrology and astronomy. It is believed that the positions of various planets and stars have an influence in your future. Many non-believers consider this as a stupid idea. But there are ancient texts to compute the relative positions of satellites and stars.

It is still a miracle, how the ancient people derived formulae for computing the positions of stars, planets and satellites, and how even knew that these objects are spherical in shape, and even computed the exact timings of eclipses, when we learn in our current texts that Magellan discovered that earth is a sphere.

In Indian astrological texts, the names of various stars or planets are given exactly as their existing Indian names, like Budha, Shukra, Sani etc. It is a miracle how the calculations like one planetary cycle, like 12 years of Saturn etc exactly matches the value of what is given in the ancient texts.

Even those who did not believe in vedic astrology will accept that there are a lot of things which the astrologers predict actually matches with many things which actually happened in their lives.
