Notes on Ava Network - 2

In the previous episode, I started with scalability when I was studying the problems of the blockchain network. Indeed, the speed of transactions is one of the most critical issues. The crucial point here is to flex and use resources to meet the workload of the system, network or process. It is highly scalable if the order can meet thousands or even billions of requests in a short period.
A blockchain is a blockchain that is divided into two potential chains. The chains share the past until that moment but continue their ways independently afterwards. Some bifurcations are called hard bifurcation. These are protocol updates that limit the rules of the blockchain implemented by nodes. An example of this is the emergence of the cryptocurrency called Bitcoin Cash due to the inability to decide at the meeting where the size of a block increased from 1MB to 8MB. Soft bifurcations are protocol updates that limit the rules of the blockchain implemented by full nodes. Another example of bifurcation is Athereum, a smooth bifurcation developed by the Ava Network, unlike the Ethereum network.

51% attack (51% Attack): as is known, transactions on the blockchain network are transparent, impossible to delete backwards. Without any central authority, deals are listed in blocks with a time stamp. The verified block of data is attached like a chain. Since each block is cryptically linked to the previous and the next block, it cannot be changed backwards. In open blockchain networks that are decentralised and do not depend on any authority, the person or institution that takes over 51% of the mining pool would theoretically have taken over the approval mechanism. It cannot modify past transactions but has the power to approve or reject future sales. It may tamper with the current block's data, deny other miners ' operations, or interfere with the blocks' approval process. However, it is theoretically possible that in practice, this is very expensive or close to impossible to apply on coins such as BTC. This type of attack is possible with more volume operations.

Network Security: it is possible to attack Blockchain networks. Therefore, it is essential to build a network resistant to attacks. One of the methods of attack known as mining, is malicious software attacks through ads that appear to be harmless. The attacker could use other computers to generate the number of coins that would take over the decision-making mechanism on the network and send them to him. Even if users turn off their browser, they can continue operations in the background. Another method is for attackers to infiltrate between parties believed to be communicating among themselves, using shared information. In these attacks, known as MITM attacks, users can seize their private keys, known as private keys, and gain access to their wallets.

In this method of attack, known as Sybill attacks, the attacker aims to control nodes within the network; as a result of the reduction of honest nodes, it is possible to cause severe damage to the network. Another method is to attack the block by doing thousands of operations known as a spam attack, which is a direct attack on the network by the attacker. As the number of transactions that need to be approved increases, there is a build-up in the transaction pool and transaction fees increase.
