What was the theory about the link between Thanos and Tony Stark in Avengers Infinity War Movie?

Here are the lists:

In Infinity War, Tony and Thanos have an exchange....Tony says, "You know me"? Thanos replies, "You're not the only one cursed with knowledge".....This implies that Thanos knows about Tony's history. I believe that the Mind stone specfically has linked them.

Thanos had possession of the Mind stone prior to the events of Avengers 1 (2012). We still don't know how or when he got it. But, the stone could've given Thanos some sort of premonition about the fate of Titan that set him on the path to Universal population control.....We know of course that Tony saw his worst fear in Age of Ultron when Scarlet Witch (who's powers were derived from the Mind stone) made him see visions of dead Avengers. This ended up becoming a reality in a way when Thanos snapped his fingers.

Tony lost Peter, most of the Guardians and as far as he knows, his former Avengers teammates on Earth......The Battle of NY and Scarlet Witch's enchantment made Tony even more obsessive over protecting Earth.

With all of this being said, Thanos may have been able to see what Tony and maybe the other Avengers were going through his previous encounter with the Mind stone. He waited until the heroes were truly divided and vulnerable before making his move for all the stones.
