Yes I think it will work. I have also put name tags on them one year. We had many people coming out for tours and so it made it easier to tell them which goat was which.

They really do develop their own personalities. It is so much fun to watch them. I will often tell people they can come out for baby therapy.

Having a baby kid in your arms is so therapeutic! How can you be stressed out when you have a cute cuddly animal in your arms?

Yup so true. That also works with a human baby. All your problems melt away. I think it keeps us young as well.

Are you able to get some baby therapy these days? Not sure if the children on your land are infants or not. If not I sure hope the children are bringing you some joy in all the chaos.

There are two infants here now and another one will be born around mid-June. The children have been really good. They play soccer with us, tag with the dogs, look for the turtles in the garden, watch the hummingbirds, are helpers in the garden and every night after dinner and before bed, we have story time for the younger ones and board games with the older ones. We don't have too much time to feel stressed during the day. It's at night, after the lights go out that we have time to reflect on what is happening.

That is so great that you are able to spend that kind of time with them. It sounds wonderful, at least during the play time. I am sure the children will remember these times, the good parts as well.

At least you are safe. We are all praying for you here. My mom is new to steemit and she thinks of you quite a bit. You and your situation has helped bring up conversations with her about what we would do. Rob and I have talked about these things many time but she is really not prepared for something like what you are going through. It is helping her expand her thoughts. I thank you for writing the updates. It is helpful for us and I am sure others are reflecting on it as well.

Take care

Thank you, Carey. We have always, as a family, have tried to be prepared for whatever may come our way, be it blizzards, financial hard times, illness or even death of a loved one but nothing compares to preparing for war. Everything you have learned, everything you have come to expect goes out the window. In cases of natural disasters, people tend to group together. In war, there is a lot of distrust, envy, greed, hatred and violence added to the mix.

Talking with your family ahead of these things, planning and exercising caution is an excellent idea. As a family, we have been talking about these very things for the past two years. We have seen the writing on the walls. When we were building the walls, we had twenty workers here. Many were young fellows that had never had a job before. They had the opportunity to learn a trade here. As well, every day we gave classes on how to budget their money and save for the future. Some took it to heart, others had money for the first tie in their lives and partied hardy. If they had been drinking, they were not allowed to work as they posed a safety hazard to others.

It is really gratifying to know that a few of these men took what they were being taught and have done well. 6 have built homes. 3 have started micro businesses on the side.

I will be doing another post today about what transpired yesterday. We keep hoping and praying for a resolution. But I still think there are third parties here in the mix that wish other wise.

That is so great that you helped out others and taught the young fellows. That is truly what we are her for, to help and teach. It is so great that
some of them took the knowledge and used it for something good. May I ask, how high is the wall you built?

Yes I imagine it is hard to prepare for something like war. It is hard to know what will happen next. At least with a natural disaster you can plan and work through the situations. In a time of war it is so unpredictable. So many things can happen. Also with war it lasts much longer than a natural disaster. As for the third party that possibly has an agenda, you might be right about that. It is so hard to tell what is truly happening in our world today. Unless we can hear it from people like you. The news prints what they want or totally ignore the subject.

I will have to do a post on my wall. It is 1/2 a metre thick, 281 meters long and at its highest point is 7 metres high. It took the twenty workers 18 months to complete. Everything was done by hand. We are safe behind those walls! Right now I can't tell you for sure the quantity of cement blocks, cement and rebar went into the project. And the planning that we did. We had to make some of our own tools because we couldn't buy them here and importing would have been prohibitive.

I have seen some articles in the past few days written by foriegn corespondents, and about half of the information is incorrect. They are being fed the news releases from the government and taking it as gospel.
